Robert Parker – 91-93
The 2013 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru la Boudriotte comes from 50-year-old vines that the domaine purchased in 2004. It has a sensual bouquet with tinned apricot, freshly sliced mango and hints of vanilla pod emerging with aeration, all nicely defined and focused. The palate is fresh and vibrant, a little austere, but very well-focused with a sense of purpose on the long finish. There is a sense of seriousness about this Chassagne, but it makes it one of the most compelling offerings from the domaine this year. Superb.
Anticipated maturity: 2016-2030
