Tasting Notes
Robert Parker – 92
The 2012 Barolo Cannubi is not a huge wine, but it is an elegant one. This is a subdued vintage that does not reach the same level of aromatic intensity that was achieved in 2011. But this more feminine approach bodes well for the graceful and elegant fruit that is farmed in the medium-density soils of Cannubi. The wine shows a solid tannic frame with fruity contours of cassis, cherry and dried blackberry, followed by smoke, tar, licorice and chopped mint. The wine promises a solid evolution over the next decade.

Mid ruby. Absolutely true and from the earth on the nose. Salty finish but with real depth.
