Tasting Notes

Tasting Notes

Robert Parker – 88-90

“The 2011 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Marie Beurrier is yet to be bottled. Tasted from an old barrique, it appears to be in danger of drying out. The fruit is thinning but retains (at least for the moment) a silky texture and decent length.” [Joe Czerwinski, 31/10/2017]

Anticipated maturity: 2017-2022

Vinous – 89-91

Deep red. Tightly wound cherry and red berry aromas are slow to unfold, eventually picking up hints of garrigue and cracked pepper. Tangy and focused on the palate, showing good depth to its bitter cherry and rhubarb flavors. Dusty tannins firm the finish, which features notes of succulent herbs and cherry pit. [Josh Raynolds, 04/01/2015]
